Proven Results. Real Growth

Going beyond averages—our students produce measurable results. With gains as high as 22 RIT points on the NWEA Reading assessment. The median growth across all students was 17 points, reflecting consistent and meaningful improvement across various ability levels.

Our success is rooted in a bite-sized, skill-specific literacy curriculum that makes reading and writing accessible—without overwhelming students: focused instruction, engaging strategies, and test-aligned practice that meets learners exactly where they are.Whether they’re catching up or aiming higher, our students don’t just grow—they thrive.

Strategies for Success

We help students with IEPs, dyslexia, and academic gaps grow 8–12% in just one semester, often moving from below basic and basic to proficient—all while providing targeted support to teachers and schools through structured literacy strategies and proven instructional tools.

The Journey to Lift

How we rose up to become innovators in education.

LexLiftKC was built from the classroom up—by an educator who saw the gap between what students could do with their hands and what they struggled to do on paper. In 2021, while running after-school programming in Kansas City’s urban schools, we realized something: we were preparing students for the real world, but not giving them the reading skills to survive it.

Process

The simple method behind our success

01

Analysis & Research

We start by analyzing student performance data to identify strengths, gaps, and patterns. From there, we work with families, schools, or teachers to set personalized literacy goals that are measurable and motivating.

02

Strategic Planning & Skill Mapping

Once goals are defined, we create a custom literacy plan that aligns with testing standards and real-world learning needs—keeping everything targeted, paced, and practical.

03

Annotation & Analysis Training

Students are taught to break down texts and questions efficiently—learning how to quickly spot author’s purpose, key claims, and deeper meanings through a simple, repeatable annotation method.

04

Ongoing Support

From writing full essays to analyzing nonfiction, students apply what they’ve learned in structured sessions—supported by consistent feedback, weekly growth checks, and encouragement every step of the way.
